Puerto Vallarta's tropical climate guarantees pleasant temperatures throughout the year, with marked seasonal variations. The dry season, from November to April, constitutes the optimal period for a beachfront stay. Temperatures range between 24°C and 28°C, with moderate humidity and virtually no precipitation.
December to February represents the high tourist season. Weather conditions are ideal, but crowds are at their peak and rates reach their highest. This period coincides with humpback whale watching season, an exceptional natural spectacle visible from the coast.
March and April offer an excellent compromise with slightly warmer temperatures and lower visitor numbers. May marks the beginning of the rainy season, but showers generally remain short and refreshing, occurring mainly in late afternoon.
The wet season, from June to October, is characterised by higher temperatures (30°C to 35°C) and regular precipitation. Nevertheless, this period presents advantages: reduced rates, lush vegetation and a more authentic atmosphere with fewer tourists.
